Installation

To benefit from 4D Internet Commands in your databases, you must:

Download "4D Internet Commands" from the 4D product download portal.
Install the plug-in files in the Plugins folder of your project or database.

Software Requirements

4D Internet Commands require the same system configuration as required for 4D. For more information, refer to the 4D's Installation Guide.

Network access

In order to use the suite of commands in 4D Internet Commands, you must have access to a network that supports TCP/IP.

TLS

4D Internet Commands allows you to use the secure protocol with commands for sending messages and connecting with the e-mail servers. No special configuration is required.

Note: The implementation of TLS in 4D Internet Commands uses the "implicit method".

Domain Name Server

For many of the 4D Internet Commands, it is necessary to have access to a domain name server. For more information, please refer to your network administrator.
